Brook Street Virtual Key Ceremony!
To celebrate the completion of our single-family build in Simcoe, Norfolk County for Sharon, Russ and Krysten, we held a live streamed Virtual Key Ceremony on the Brant-Norfolk Chapter Facebook page! If you missed it live on April 29th, you can still watch here.
The Habitat Heartland Ontario team was thrilled to hand the keys over to our newest Habitat homeowners on Brook Street through our virtual celebration on Zoom.
We were joined by Habitat homeowners Sharon, Russ and Krysten, as well as local dignitaries and Habitat for Humanity’s Brian Elliot (CEO Habitat Heartland Ontario, Lynda Henriksen (GM Habitat Heartland Brant-Norfolk Chapter), Alan MacKinnon (Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario Board Chair), Steve Roorda (Brant Norfolk Steering Committee), Joe Scrocco (Brant Norfolk’s Director of Build Services) and Frances Richardson, (Homeownership Services Coordinator).
Thank you to our volunteers, donors, partners, and everyone in the community that helped make this Habitat Heartland Brant-Norfolk Chapter build in Norfolk County possible!

Culver Drive Renovation Project |
This month, we are wrapping up work at our renovation project on Culver Drive in London! This was a semi-detached home that was very generously donated to Habitat Heartland.

Skills Catalyst Training with Habitat Heartland!
We want to thank everyone who has participated in Habitat Heartland Ontario's FREE 8-week Skills Catalyst Training program!
Our program helped participants with on-the-job training and life skills that will have a life changing impact on their future education or job search. This program was open without discrimination to all members in our community, including those who may be experiencing barriers entering the labour market.
This program is funded by the Government of Ontario.

That’s why Habitat’s Women Build program, thanks to the generous partnership of Lowe’s, brings together future homeowners and dedicated volunteers to help women build a better future for their families and communities. The Lowe’s partnership with Habitat began in 2003, and Habitat and Lowe’s help families across the U.S., India and Canada, build a brighter future through homeownership during International Women Build Week.
