We’re pleased to share a comprehensive update featuring several key developments across the Ker & Downey portfolio. This edition brings enhanced sales tools to support your conversions, the launch of the refreshed Trade Partners page, and updated packages designed to strengthen your selling opportunities. The popular Stay 5 Pay 4 offer has been reactivated, alongside important information on the current fuel surcharge and anticipated release of the 2027 rates.

The Ker & Downey Botswana and Zambia intimate, exclusive camps are sanctuaries — renowned for delivering some of the most memorable wildlife experiences in Botswana and Zambia, while ensuring complete space, seclusion, and profound restoration. In recent months, they have elevated key elements of their collateral to ensure your booking process is seamless and your research more effortless.

COMBINE CAMPS WITH THESE DISTINCTIVE JOURNEYS

The four Distinctive Journeys itineraries, created in response to frequent requests for ideal camp combinations, follow the best routing through the diverse Ker & Downey Botswana environments. From Dinaka’s rugged Kalahari Thirstland to their private Okavango Delta locations—ensure consistently wild, immersive encounters. All four journeys offer excellent value by making full use of the generous Long‑Stay Rates.

REACTIVATION OF THE STAY 5 PAY 4 OFFER

Each year the company launches its Stay 5 Pay 4 Special, and this year it is being released earlier than usual. The offer is valid for new bookings and travel from

1 November 2026 to 15 March 2027. This edition of the special also features their highly anticipated, soon‑to‑open jewel: the exquisite four‑tented‑suite Kanana Nyana, a secluded sanctuary tucked deep within the western Okavango Delta.

Fuel Surcharge & 2027 Rates

FUEL SURCHARGE

As of 1 May 2026, Safari Air Pty Ltd, Ker & Downey's flying partner implemented a 12% Air Fuel Surcharge (AFS) across all air charters and seat‑rate flights. This surcharge has already been communicated directly to partners with affected bookings. We are sharing this update here to ensure all trade partners have the latest information for future planning and quotations:

• No AFS will be charged on flight bookings confirmed as at the date of this notice and which flights travel before June 1, 2026.
• AFS will be charged on flight bookings confirmed as at the date of this notice and which flights travel from June 1, 2026.
• AFS will be charged on flight bookings which confirm after the date/ time of this notice, irrespective of flight travel date.
• AFS will not be charged for confirmed bookings where full payment has been received for travel by Ker & Downey Botswana Pty Ltd as at the date/ time of this notice, and where flights travel from 1 June 2026.

At this time, please note that no fuel surcharge is being applied for flights with our preferred supplier for King Lewanika Lodge, Liuwa Plain National Park, Zambia.

2027 RATES

The significant rise in fuel costs is beginning to impact lodge operations, though the full extent of this effect is not yet quantifiable. Consequently, Ker & Downey Botswana Pty Ltd plans to release the 2027 rates shortly.

For trade partner bookings confirmed for 2027 travel, an interim rate of the 2026 rate plus a 10% increase will be quoted. The Air Fuel Surcharge will be added to this amount.

If the final 2027 rate increase is lower than 10%, all confirmed bookings will be repriced at the lower rate. Should the final increase exceed 10%, Ker & Downey Botswana Pty Ltd will absorb the difference.
