Faith Formation
Faith formation is a lifelong, communal process of being shaped by God's grace. It happens in Word and Sacrament, scripture, service, and the relationships in daily life. In the Lutheran tradition, faith is understood as a gift, nurtured by the Holy Spirit from baptism through every season of life, in congregations, households, and neighborhoods.
At its heart, faith formation is about belonging to Christ and to one another. God is always actively at work in and among us. This month’s Voices of Faith explores how formation is lived out across the Southwestern Texas Synod.
