Change a Life Today!!

Rewards of Fostering

Some dogs just need time and dedication and Abe is the poster dog for this!

This first photo is the day he went to his fosters house, 50lbs, face sunken in, and shutting down in the shelter.

The second photo is now- look at the difference! His face fuller, he’s up to 61 pounds, and is living his best life. He is also a HUGE snuggle bug!!

Abe is a wonderful example of what love and dedication can do for a dog! He probably wouldn’t be here today without his amazing dedicated foster family who gave a “hard to adopt” dog the life he deserves.

Dogs' like Abe are being put down daily in shelters due to overpopulation of domestic pets. The most rewarding thing you can do is watch a dog's personality change into the dog they were meant to be by fostering!

It’s an important skill to teach, and one you’ll value every time you take your dog out for a walk. Dog training expert and AKC Family Dog training and behavior columnist Kathy Santo offers the following tips:
