Rutherford Public Library is so excited to offer three Summer Reading Programs! The Children's Summer Reading Program works as in the past. Children log books they read and receive prizes along the way. The Young Adult and Adult versions offer a bingo card challenge. All three run from May 1 until September 23, 2023.
Sign up today at the main desk to receive your packet and get a bonus prize! You may sign up online, but you still need to come in to get your rewards.

Rutherford Public Library Strategic Plan

Rutherford Public Library is proud to unveil its 2023-28 Strategic Plan. Special thanks to the Strategic Plan Committee who worked tirelessly to make this a reality, and to all of our community members who filled out a survey or attended a focus group. Thank you, Stonefield Engineering, for spending your Earth Day cleaning up the Library Courtyard. We appreciate the effort that went into removing trash, mulching and weeding, and refreshing plant beds with hosta and new white rocks. Photos were taken after the cherry blossoms started falling, but it still looks great!

For the first time in three years, the Friends of the Rutherford Library will be holding the Literary Character Costume Contest. Join us in some Library Cosplay as you dress as your favorite character or author on Saturday, May 6. Register by Tuesday, May 2.
The Rutherford Library is more than just books! We continue to offer on-demand yoga and virtual mindfulness workshops, as well as parenting and job resources. As always, our patrons can borrow a hotspot or access museum passes, author talks, investment and genealogy research, and much more!
