The new beehive on the roof of the Downtown Library is thriving! Our beekeeper, Kendal and her 8th grade bee intern Rajeev recently inspected the hives. They found that the queen has mated and nursing bees are taking care of the little ones. A new queen bee has also been added! Let's hope she is successful in establishing a new colon. We may have honey by late July to early August. To learn more about our honey bees, go here.
