Make Mother's Day Extra

Special in KOP

Mother’s Day has a funny way of sneaking up on you. One minute it’s still chilly out and the next you’re realizing you haven’t made a single plan for the person who somehow managed to raise you, feed you and still answers your texts. No pressure.

If you’re celebrating in and around King of Prussia, you’re in luck. Whether Mom is all about a long brunch with bottomless coffee (or mimosas!), a little retail therapy that somehow turns into a lot or a spa day where no one is allowed to ask her for anything, there are plenty of ways to make her feel like the VIP she is.

We’ve rounded up some of the best local spots and specials to help you plan a day she’ll actually enjoy. Because let’s be honest, she deserves more than a last-minute card and a slightly wilted bouquet.

Projects

Renaissance Park Roadway and Trail Design Underway

King of Prussia District and Upper Merion Township have officially launched the next phase of improvements in Renaissance Park.

In 2025, Boles Smyth Associates and Chester Valley Engineers were awarded a contract to design roadway and pedestrian enhancements along Renaissance Boulevard and Horizon Drive.

Building on the 2024 Renaissance Park Connectivity Master Plan, the project focuses on strengthening connections between commercial destinations and nearby neighborhoods. After evaluating existing conditions, traffic patterns and future development, the design team has developed a range of concepts to improve mobility and enhance the overall experience of the corridor.

Community Who Cares

The Hasbrouck Education & Career Center

Behind every strong community are organizations that step in to support individuals at pivotal moments in their lives.

Through our Community Who Cares series, King of Prussia District highlights nonprofit organizations that are creating opportunities, restoring confidence and helping people in Upper Merion Township move forward. One such company making a meaningful impact is The Hasbrouck Education & Career Center, a nonprofit focused on helping individuals rebuild, grow and take the next step toward a brighter future.

KOP Insiders

A KOP Insiders Exclusive at Cork & Candles with Kenny Straub

In the heart of King of Prussia Town Center, Cork & Candles offers something more than a typical night out.

From the moment guests step inside, the intention behind the space is clear. Warm, elevated and thoughtfully designed, Cork & Candles feels less like a workshop and more like a gathering place.

“The business we’ve tried to build is one that’s focused on bringing people together,” says co-owner Kenny Straub. “We didn’t build Cork & Candles for candle lovers, or even just for people who want to make candles. We built it as a space where friends gather.”
