MAY 10, 2019

Members are invited to stick with us at the Children's Museum! On Friday, May 10 from 6:30PM to 8:00PM, Children's Museum members and their guests (up to two free guests per active member) can attend a sneak peek of our 2019 travelling exhibition, TapeScape, before it opens to the general public. Guests will get to explore this interactive art installation that sparks creative learning for museum guests of all ages. The immersive TapeScape experience challenges the ideas of what can be construction materials by using packing tape to make an unpredictable and one-of-a-kind environment for learning and exploration. This after-hours experience will also feature complimentary beverages from the museum's Old-Fashioned Refreshment Stand, an opportunity to create a TapeScape-inspired suncatcher, as well as a chance to enter our draw for a museum membership.

Local tour sponsored by Johnston Group. Additional local support provided by Global Television, Inn At The Forks, NorthStar Scaffold Inc., Prairie Public, Steinbach Credit Union, and Toromont CAT.

Our summer exhibition TapeScape will be all ready to go and just waiting for you to explore! There's climbing, sliding, and lots of STEAM-based creative learning to be had. From 11:00AM to 3:00PM, UofW and UofM's Let's Talk Science teams will be leading hands-on experiments and demonstrations. Stick with it for more fun and create a tissue paper stained glass ornament that will light up any room with bright and beautiful colours.
