May is Active Lifestyle Month in Highlands Ranch
Each May the Administration on Aging spearheads the nation’s observance of Older Americans Month. This year’s theme is Connect, Create and Contribute. The Metro District’s Active Adult Programs & Services (AAPS) program is calling this Active Lifestyle Month . We have partnered with the Highlands Ranch Community Association to offer free activities all month long.

Walking can be fun and easy
Join us in May for trail walks. The Arthritis Foundation wants us to remember that walking is free, easy on the joints and offers multiple benefits.
  • Improves circulation
  • Stops loss of bone mass
  • Lightens our mood
  • Burns calories
  • Strengthens muscles
  • and more!

Safely dispose of your unused, expired or unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications at the DCSO Highlands Ranch Substation, 9250 Zotos Dr., between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
As warmer temperatures invite us to dine outdoors, enjoy this delicious recipe with friends and family on your patio. It will quickly become a family favorite.
