May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this year it carries something extra special. As we look ahead to celebrating 50 years of Radiant Futures, we are reflecting on half a century of one simple but powerful truth: healing happens in community, and no one has to walk this path alone.

This month reminds us that healing shows up in many forms, including laughter, connection, and the courage to tell your story. And this May, we are celebrating that belief with two special events we hope you will join us for.
On Thursday, May 7, laugh, connect, and be inspired at our Stand Up Pho Good 2.0 AAPI Comedy Show from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Downtown Anaheim Community Center, honoring both AAPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month. And earlier that same day, treat yourself or find the perfect gift at Radiant Jewels, our designer jewelry shopping event in Cypress from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, where every $10 purchase directly supports survivors.
Before we look ahead, we want to pause and say thank you. To everyone who celebrated with us at the Radiant Futures Ball on April 25, your generosity and presence meant everything. You showed up for survivors in the most beautiful way, and we are deeply grateful.

For 50 years, Radiant Futures has walked alongside survivors, families, and communities through some of life's most difficult moments. At the heart of that work has always been a belief that healing is holistic, and that mental wellness is just as vital as physical safety.
Mental health touches every one of us. Whether you are a survivor rebuilding your life, a volunteer showing up for others, a donor investing in healing, or a community member navigating everyday demands, your emotional well-being matters. Mental health shapes how we think, feel, connect, and cope from one day to the next.
Five decades of this work have taught us something powerful: when people feel supported from the inside out, transformation becomes possible. When we tend to our own well-being, we become more present, more grounded, and more able to show up fully for the people we love. That ripple effect builds stronger families and more resilient communities, and it is exactly what 50 years of Radiant Futures has been about.

Join us for a special evening on Thursday, May 7, 6:30 - 8:30 PM at the Downtown Anaheim Community Center, honoring AAPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month together, featuring comedians Aidan Park, Sisa Grey, and Ana Parsons as they share personal stories with humor, heart, and refreshing honesty.
Research consistently shows that within AAPI communities, mental health challenges are often underreported, and survivors of family violence frequently face additional barriers rooted in cultural stigma and silence. Tonight, we gently push back against that silence, together.
Some stories shared this evening touch on family violence, domestic violence, and human trafficking. We recognize these topics can bring up personal experiences, and we honor every person's choice to engage at their own comfort level. Your presence here, in whatever way feels right for you, is valued and welcomed.
