The Sacred Heart Hospital Guild is marking 75 years of supporting the hospital. Everyone is invited to celebrate the milestone at a special event from 2 to 3 p.m. on Monday, May 19 in the lobby at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.

HEARTsafe Eugene Springfield

Anyone who has experienced sudden cardiac arrest is invited to join the HEARTsafe Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor and Co-Survivor Support Group. It meets from 4 to 5 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month at PeaceHealth RiverBend hospital in room 200CD. The next meeting is May 27.

Doc Talk on KNND

May is Stroke Awareness Month. Being aware of the symptoms could be lifesaving. Tune into KNND radio from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20 for Cottage Grove's edition of Doc Talk. Listen in as Cameron Reiten and Thomas Farley discuss the signs, symptoms and risk factors of a stroke, as well as risk-reduction and preventative lifestyle habits.

Shorter lab hours through May 30

Due to staffing, the outpatient lab draw site at PeaceHealth Peace Harbor will have shorter hours, closing at 3 p.m. weekdays during the month of May. We apologize for any inconvenience. We plan to resume standard hours in June.

Listen in as radio host George Henry discusses the signs, symptoms and risk factors of a stroke, as well as risk-reduction and preventative lifestyle habits, with Michael Wilder, MD.


Dunes Day

You're invited to the second annual Dunes Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, at the Goose Pasture ATV staging area. It's a free event that will include snacks, raffles, Stop-the-Bleed training and the chance to interact with local trauma program staff, emergency and law enforcement teams.
