New membership policy, book club discussions, art gallery exhibit, and more!

Hello Friends!

Although our season of Friends events is winding down, we continue to fund many important library offerings, including online offerings for library cardholders - Gale Small Business Builder (read the library's press release here), Florida Legal Forms, Tutor.com, Tumblebooks Online, and Kanopy Streaming. Review the Boca Raton Public Library's complete digital library here.

In addition, we continue to fund select library community events, and books for the library's book groups for kids and tweens, as well as the library's popular Discover Studio, exploring the latest trends in digital storytelling and other social technology, audio recording and movie making, coding, content creation, and virtual reality. We are also gearing up to partner with the library for another successful Summer Reading program launch in June - we hope to see you there!

UPDATED MEMBERSHIP POLICY

The Friends have updated their membership policy to include yearly membership starting from the month you sign up. What does this mean? We've make it possible to sign up at any time of the year and still receive a full year of membership benefits.

Did you know? The Friends are the winners of the Florida Library Association's 2019 Best Friends Website Award! The FLA noted our website, "does an excellent job keeping the community informed about the large variety of activities in which the Friends are involved." ( The Florida Libraries journal, 2019 Spring edition, page 15). We will be attending the FLA annual conference in Orlando this month to accept the award.

Our Art Gallery

See the paintings of local artist, Sonya Gaskill, at our art gallery at the Spanish River Library now through June 9th.

Meet the artist reception to be held Sunday, May 5th, 12-4pm at the art gallery. The public is welcome. No admission fee.

Exhibit curated by Friends art gallery curator, Victoria Sheridan.
