*Information RE: Grant Award from the New Jersey State Library and Institute of Museum and Library Services
American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
The New Jersey library community strives to fulfill the information needs of a vast and varied customer group. As always, the New Jersey State Library supports the state’s public libraries in serving all New Jerseyans—from pre-Kindergartners on the brink of emergent literacy, to students on the path to graduation and early careers, to disconnected individuals of all ages on the far side of the digital divide. To support our efforts, the Institute of Museum and Library Services awarded the New Jersey State Library $3.9 million in funding through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). A portion of these funds has been used to provide the following resources for New Jersey libraries.
The Fairview Free Public Library was awarded $7,500.00 to purchase new Chromebooks for patron use in the library building and 10 Wi-Fi hotspots that patrons can borrow and take home.
Hardware will be available to borrow on or before February 21, 2022
