Message from the Director
The Small Business Center will be celebrating National Small Business Week May 2- 8th. During this time we will be executing a social media campaign to highlight resources that are available to help small businesses. We will provide highlights for over 20 organizations that support local businesses. This information will be made available on the Small Business Center's Facebook page. Please be sure to like, share and spread the word about these amazing resources.

Have questions about how your small business can utilize the services of a specific group or organization? Please do not hesitate to schedule your free business counseling session by visiting www.nashcc.edu/sbc and completing a request for counseling.

Although restrictions are easing and more people are becoming vaccinated, please remember to continue to STAY SAFE and be cautious in all your activities. Keep your hands washed, practice social distancing and WEAR A MASK to protect yourself and others.

Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Series was a success!
The Small Business Center offered our first eight week bootcamp series from March 4- April 22, hosted by Small Shops Mall and TradeIt owner Fred George. The bootcamp was held on campus each Thursday from 6 pm - 8 pm. The bootcamp took students through the steps of how to think like a business owner, how to choose the right business, how to prepare to start, how to seek funding, write a business plan and the basics of how to form their business. Fred George was able to motivate students to get started NOW and gave them tips on how to remain focused on their goals in preparation of business start up. Students were not required to attend each week and could sign up for as many or as little as they found necessary. Some students came once or twice, however we had nine students to attend at least six of the eight classes!
The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp will return this fall for another eight week series!
