Monthly Update
This has been a busy time of year at ACCA as we were finally able to return to our annual in-person Rebuilding Together day. Volunteers performed much-needed maintenance and made necessary repairs and improvements to two local homes for homeowners who had fallen behind. The food pantry gratefully accepted the donations that postal workers had collected on their routes from the Annandale Post Office. The family emergency team continues to process funds to support local families who have suffered from unemployment, illness, and disabilities so that they can pay their rent.
Volunteers work to help homeowners in Annandale.

ACCA volunteers were grateful to return to their annual National Rebuilding Together Day project on Saturday, April 30 after the global pandemic put us on hold due to health and safety precautions for the past 2 years.

Neighbor to Neighbor
During Ramadan, Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) families and volunteers met virtually on April 9 and 23. Our next in person meeting will be on May 14 at Peace Lutheran. We are in the process of making plans for the summer. We have an ongoing need for tutors who have an ESL background and others who would like to volunteer with our program.
