The Birds Thank Whole Foods Market Coral Gables

The Birds Thank Whole Foods Market Coral Gables,  America's healthiest (and greenest!) grocery store chain. Whether supporting Homestead farmers, Keys Fishermen or Florida Ranchers, Wh ole Foods Market Coral Gables keeps it local.

Our "Whole Foods, Whole People, Whole Planet" near neighbor (located 3 blocks north of our campus on Red Road) recently partnered with TAS to present "WingDing" 2016, providing a farm-fresh, fair food picnic for 150 guests. WingDing proceeds help TAS maintain our 3-acre urban oasis, aka"green island," and perpetuate our Mission " To conserve and restore South Florida ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats."

Supporting those vendors who support TAS is an easy way to contribute to our Mission.
The birds will thank you!

Take Action Today:
Protect the Biscayne Bay Marine Reserve
Biscayne Bay Marine Reserve
Sign on to a Letter Opposing Senate bill 2.807
Deadline: 5pm May 5, 2016

TAS has signed onto this letter addressed to the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Chairman Murkowski and Ranking Member Cantwell, and we hope you will, too.

Biscayne Bay National Park NPCA fish Marine Reserve

If you love fishing, or have a commercial interest in keeping fishing sound, help oppose Senate Bill S.2807 as this bill would block the creation of a marine reserve in Biscayne National Park, which is in direct conflict with the National Park Service's (NPS) mission to protect our coastal and marine resources and provide for fishing opportunities in and around national parks, especially South Florida's  Biscayne National Park.

Fish populations in and around Biscayne National Park waters have dramatically declined threatening the health of the entire coral reef ecosystem.

By stopping S.2807, we allow the NPS to uphold its responsibility to current and future generations to protect our fisheries, one of America's most treasured natural resources.
