Breed and San Francisco City Administrator Naomi Kelly "be INVINCIBLE" slated today was programmed to inspire women to recognize and activate their personal power and collective strength, provide tangible takeaways and build diverse coalitions to create real solutions to challenges - all in an inviting, inspiring, and energizing environment.  Not simply a networking event, "be INVINCIBLE," ending soon, is a unique and energizing experience for more than 1,000 participants, with inspiring keynotes, dynamic break-out sessions and exhibits, and performances by some of the Bay Area's most talented artists, singers, dancers and poets.  Find Out More Here!

so much, thanks to the San Francisco Black Film Festival's mission and stand on cultural awareness of the African Diaspora worldwide.

More than eighty films will be screened at the San Francisco Black Film Festival when the sun sets on Sunday.  Director's Kali O'Ray and Katera Crossley are working diligently with San Francisco's Juneteenth Celebration and sponsors to ensure African American presence is still noted in "the City." San Francisco Black Film Festival XXI held a pre-event media briefing at the Cinemark Century 9 & XD at San Francisco's Westfield Centre on Wednesday honoring late San Francisco Public Defender & filmmaker Jeff Adachi. Films Disparity and Neko Wilson Social Biography were screened prior to a panel discussion on prison reform with panelists: Former Judge Karen Clopton; Civil Rights Attorney Pamela Price; Civil Law Attorney Jacq Wilson and Criminal Defense Attorney, Jacque Wilson, a member of the San Francisco Public Defender's Office.  District 5 Supervisor Vallie Brown addressed the audience and former Supervisor Sophie Maxwell was among the attendees.

It is "Black Music Month" and in alignment with the beats, The San Francisco Black Film Festival opened last night with "Guitar Man" at the FilmMore Grand Theater (formerly Yoshi's) followed by networking with filmmakers.
