MAYOR DEMINGS' DIGEST
Greetings.
June is here, which means so is summer vacation season. We are blessed to live in an area sought out by millions of people from around the world, and Orange County continues to be one of the most popular travel destinations for U.S. residents who visit our theme parks and enjoy our tropical weather.
June is the start of hurricane season, as well, and now is the time to make sure your family is prepared for a storm. The Orange County Office of Emergency Management will host the 2023 Hurricane Expo on Saturday, June 17 at West Orange High School. The Hurricane Expo provides resources to help residents mitigate, prepare and recover from a storm disaster. After last year’s devastating storms, we encourage you to take the important steps to keep your family safe.
On June 9, I will deliver the 2023 State of the County address, looking back at the outstanding accomplishments from the past year and looking forward to taking Orange County Government to the next level in 2023. The event will be broadcast live on Orange TV and streamed live on the Orange County social media channels at 9 a.m. I hope you can join us.
My best to everyone, and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and caregivers out there!
Sincerely,
|
