At our June 19 meeting we continued our recognition or members of our community by celebrating 30 years of volunteer service by Rick Haan, who recently announced that he is moving out of State. Rick served on both our Planning Board (as Chair for the past 8 years) and on our Zoning Board of Adjustment. At the end of the ceremony, Rick presented the Township a gift of a framed historic map of his section of town. The framed map will be on permanent display in our meeting room. Thank you Rick!
At the July 19 meeting we also had a promotion ceremony for Police Sergeant Clay Boeninghaus, passed three ordinances, and fielded numerous queries from residents. See more detail in the summary below or watch the video.

The Township Committee continues to make improvements to resident communications. Our latest addition is the distribution of a monthly event calendar that pulls together all of our municipal meetings and activities all in one place. In case you missed it, you can find it here .

This new communication initiative is in addition to these others already in place:
- This Mayor's message
- Video coverage of our meetings
- Monthly office hours
- Numerous Municipal Messenger notifications (please sign up!)
- And of course, the opportunity to come to our monthly Township Committee meeting to ask questions of the entire Committee.

Take advantage of our free concerts and movies, our two beautiful pools, or a multitude of recreation programming. For children ages 4-14 this Saturday we are hosting the annual " Tri-Harder Kids Triathlon ". Many more programs are also available through our Recreation Department .

The next meeting at the Township committee is Wednesday, July 17. I again urge residents to come out and participate in our monthly meeting. At the upcoming July 17 meeting the Township Committee will be unveiling a new initiative relating to transportation and circulation in and around Morris Township. Join your neighbors on the Township Committee at our meeting to learn more about it. I look forward to seeing you on July 17!
