A Message From Mayor Steve Noble:

Dear Friends,

Next week, final paving will begin on Broadway and is expected to be completed by Friday, September 3. You will notice a completely new traffic pattern between the roundabout and Pine Grove Avenue, with two lanes of traffic, one center turning lane, and parking between the flow of traffic and new bike lanes. I encourage everyone to use caution as you navigate the new configuration and be sure to watch for pedestrians and cyclists.

We also have a big announcement coming next week, which I'll be delivering to the public on Tuesday at 2pm at Dietz Stadium. Hope to see you there!

-Steve

Changes on Broadway Coming Next Week
On Monday, final paving from the roundabout to Pine Grove Avenue will begin.

There will be no parking on Broadway between E. St. James St. to Pine Grove next week to allow for paving and striping. Please use side streets for parking.

Starting Monday, drivers will see significant changes to the Broadway traffic pattern. There will be a protected bike lane with parking between the bike path and street traffic. Traffic will be reduced to two lanes, with one turning lane in the center. Signals will be coordinated to improve flow.

Drivers are reminded to be vigilant in looking out for cyclists and pedestrians:
» Stop for pedestrians at crosswalks
» Slow down and obey the posted speed limit
» Yield to pedestrians and cyclists when turning
» Look before opening your door
» Allow three feet when passing bicyclists
» Turn on vehicle headlights at dusk
