A Message From Mayor Steve Noble:
Dear Friends,
Our Covid numbers in Ulster County are rising. Cases have doubled in the month of August, and our numbers have reached the level that CDC advises everyone - vaccinated and unvaccinated - wear a mask indoors.
In an effort to continue our work to curb violent crime in our community, I attended the Finance Committee meeting this week to ask for the hiring of three additional police officers. These officers would greatly increase capacity for our community policing efforts, including the new AVERT initiative. The Finance committee voted unanimously in favor, and I hope the full Council will approve as well.
-Steve
