Mayor Noble's Radio Updates

A Message From Mayor Steve Noble:
Dear Friends,
Even before the pandemic, my office has tried to use as many forms of direct communication to the public as possible. I have been doing regular live radio and Facebook updates for the last 15 months. As our Covid numbers continue to move in the right direction - single digits in Kingston - I feel it's time to return to a longer radio format to talk about issues more in-depth. Starting next week, I'll have a weekly 30-minute radio show with different topics each week. On Tuesday, I hope you'll tune into my conversation with Kingston's Director of Housing Initiatives to hear about all the amazing work his office is engaged in.
I thank the Common Council for supporting the purchase of A/V equipment that will allow Council meetings, as well as all of our and commission meetings, to be conducted in a hybrid in-person/virtual format. We want to make sure that the public can easily connect, even after we move back to meeting at City Hall. Now more than ever, we know how important keeping the community involved in City initiatives is.
Also a reminder to all eligible voters to participate in the primary! Find more voting locations and info here.
-Steve

Kingston Musicians Comeback Two-Part Event
|
|
Kingston Happenings and the City of Kingston’s Distinguished Artist Lara Hope, proudly present the Kingston Musicians Comeback! The virtual two-part event will air June 17 and 24 at 7pm, highlighting some of the area's best talent, through interviews and original video performances. Each night will feature 10 performers and both shows will be streamed from the Kingston Happenings Facebook and Youtube pages.
The Kingston Musicians Comeback supports local musicians who have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. During this difficult time, musicians have not been able to perform to live audiences therefore affecting their livelihood. Many musicians rely on the booking, performing, touring, and selling of merchandise and tickets for their means of income. This event is a great way to make people aware of the treasure trove of musical talent we have in the area by allowing for fun, interactive events during which artists can perform for the local communities in a safe, virtual format.
Participating Artists include:
11-time Grammy Award winner Tony Lindsay (Santana)
