View the Mayor’s Proposed 2026 Budget  


Mayor Ross Kentner has presented the proposed 2026 Budget to Council. This is the first budget developed under Ontario’s Strong Mayors Legislation since it was developed in 2025.


Budget deliberations kick off on February 2nd with the opportunity for public input and participation.  



The budget is a financial plan that shows how resources will be used to deliver programs and services such as roads, bridges, facility maintenance, waste management, parks, trails, recreation, and cultural services. It reflects the priorities set by Council and balances short-term needs with long-term plans like asset management and transportation improvements.

Bradey Carbert – Director of Community Services


The Municipality of Meaford has appointed Bradey Carbert as Director of Community Services, effective February 23, 2026. Carbert brings strong municipal leadership experience from both Meaford and the City of Owen Sound. 

Sam Dinsmore – Deputy CAO / Director of Corporate Services 


The Municipality of Meaford has appointed Sam Dinsmore as Deputy CAO and Director of Corporate Services, effective February 9, 2026. Dinsmore brings nearly 15 years of municipal experience, including leadership roles at Bruce County and the Town of The Blue Mountains, with expertise in finance, technology, and organizational support services. 


Help Pick the Theme for the New Splash Pad: Opening This Summer 


A new splash pad is coming to McCarroll Park, with construction planned for a grand opening this summer. Residents are invited to help shape the project by voting on the splash pad theme, with two options to choose from: Beach or Nature. Voting is open now and closes on Monday, February 2 at 4 p.m.

2026 Food Vendor Applications Open 


The 2026 Food Vendor Applications are open. Food vendors interested in operating at municipal locations in 2026 are invited to apply through the lottery process before the deadline on March 1.

Nominate a Woman Who Moves Meaford


The Municipality of Meaford has launched She Moves Meaford, a community storytelling campaign celebrating women whose leadership, creativity, and resilience help our community thrive. Residents, customers, coworkers, and partners are invited to nominate women who lead, inspire, or contribute to Meaford’s businesses and community life. Selected stories will be shared on the municipality’s website and social media platforms during the week of International Women’s Day.  

Key Dates and Reminders

The first installment of your 2026 interim tax bills is due Tuesday, February 24.

Public warming spaces are open during extreme weather. Stop by the Arena or Libary to get out of the cold! 

Municipal offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, February 18 for Family Day.
