A Message from Mayor Susan Shin Angulo

Dear Neighbor:
As Thanksgiving Day approaches, a day we usually spend gathered around the dinner table with close friends and families - we know this year will be a little different for all of us. Whether you're spending the day with those under the same roof or having a socially distanced dinner - there is still plenty to be thankful for. This time of year is a great time to reflect on the past year and be grateful for all that we have been given and give thanks for the blessings we enjoy every day.
I know that many of us are experiencing “Covid fatigue," and although this year may be more difficult than others, we are hopeful that we will be back to normal soon. There are more than a few reasons to be optimistic, and the development of two effective vaccines is a shining bright light at the end of the tunnel. Please take a look at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website for Holiday Celebrations and Small Gatherings for more information on how to keep your family safe this holiday season.
As you celebrate, please remember to reach out to those in our community who are less fortunate especially during these challenging times. Our Recreation Department is running a Holiday Food Drive and you can find more information on that below.
On behalf of Township Council and my administration, I wish you and your families a safe, happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
Please note that although the Cherry Hill Township Municipal Building is still currently closed to the public, municipal offices will close at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 and will remain closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Please continue to stay safe.
Sincerely,
|

COVID-19 Exposure Tracking App Launched in New Jersey
|
|
|
|
Add Your Phone to the COVID Fight. Download COVID Alert NJ.
COVID Alert NJ is New Jersey's free and secure mobile app that anonymously alerts users if they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
The app also provides users with up-to-date information on New Jersey reopening news, key COVID-19 metrics, and a user-friendly symptom tracking tool. COVID Alert NJ uses Bluetooth proximity technology. The app will never record any identifying data. All users will remain anonymous. How it Works:
-
Download COVID Alert NJ on the App Store or Google Play Store. Opt-in to receive "Exposure Notifications"
- As you go about your day, the app will use Bluetooth to sense any "close contacts"—other app users who are within 6 feet of you for more than 10 minutes
- When your app senses a close contact, your phone will exchange a secure random code with the close contact's phone. It's important to note that your location and name are never disclosed
- If you test positive for COVID-19, a public health representative will call you and ask if you're willing to anonymously notify your "close contacts" by uploading your app's close contact codes
- Each day, the app will compare your list of close contact codes to the list of codes associated with positive COVID-19 app users. If there's a match you will get an Exposure Alert, along with appropriate next steps
