MAYOR'S UPDATE

From the desk of Mayor Rika Levin

It was a true pleasure to celebrate the Ossining Youth Bureau's 2025 Civilian Academy Closing Ceremony! We were thrilled to welcome all our graduates and their families to this special event. A big thank you to County Legislator Emiljana Ulaj and White Plains Executive Director Frank Williams for joining us in the celebration. We'd also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our incredible first responders from the Ossining Fire Department, Police Department, and OVAC for their continued service and support.

What an inspiring weekend for our community's historical congregations! I would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to First Baptist Church on reaching its remarkable 235th Anniversary, noting its significance as our oldest congregation, and also to Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church on its impressive 135th Anniversary Gala. It was truly fitting that the celebrations occurred back-to-back, as Star of Bethlehem was founded by members who originally gathered at First Baptist. We would like to sincerely thank Trustee Dana White for attending both momentous events on behalf of the Board, and we celebrate with Star of Bethlehem that Village Historian Joyce Sharrock Cole and Open Door Family Medical Center were deservedly honored with the Henry Duers Award for their exceptional service to the community.

Please join County Legislator Emiljana Ulaj and the Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce to free resource event: Westchester County Resources for Your Small Business!
