From the desk of Mayor Rika Levin

This past Friday was a beautiful evening on the waterfront at Shattemuc Yacht Club - Yet one more gem in Ossining! Thank you, Ferry Sloop, for hosting this free event featuring Christine Chanel.

Saturday was a great day for the Ossining Matters 5K run/walk – with over 250 people in attendance. Thank you, OM, for supporting the Ossining Union Free School District.

It was an honor to join Town Supervisor Feldman and our colleagues on Town and Village Boards to celebrate Fred Steneck’s 50 years of service with the Ossining Fire Department. Fred sets a great example of community volunteerism at its best!

Sunday was a great day to be downtown for the Ossining Hispanic Festival produced by Padres Hispanos. There was music, dancing, food, and shopping galore. This event gets better every year!

Thank you, Governor Kathy Hochul, for visiting Ossining on Sunday.

Tomorrow evening marks the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States of America. In Ossining, we host a remembrance ceremony on this date to honor lives lost on that date as well as those that have lost their lives due to 9/11-related cancers.

The Ossining & Briarcliff Remembrance Ceremony will occur tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, @ 7:00 PM at Louis Engel Waterfront Park. All are invited to attend the ceremony. In attendance will be emergency service organizations and elected officials serving the residents of the Village of Ossining, the Town of Ossining, and the Village of Briarcliff Manor.
