On behalf of all our clients and associates, we are proud to announce that Wesley Bean has earned the prestigious designation of Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
“This certification validates the exceptional work he’s been doing for our clients for several years. For our clients it means we have a true professional helping to direct and manage their portfolios. We’re excited for Wesley and our plans to continue to build on that expertise,” stated Tom McCarthy, founder of McCarthy & Cox Retirement and Estate Specialists. “Earning this designation requires rigorous study and passing three separate national exams. Only about 20% to 40% of all applicants pass any one of the three levels and Wesley has successfully passed all three!“ McCarthy explained.
Jim Cox, Managing Partner of the firm added, “This is an awesome achievement and we want to publicly congratulate Wesley! At our core, McCarthy & Cox has always been eager to support and invest in our people. We couldn’t be prouder of Wesley and all our associates who strive to continually improve and provide the best, most professional service we can”.
What is a CFA® charter holder? The CFA® designation is widely considered the highest distinction in the investment management profession and is considered the equivalent of a highly specialized postgraduate degree. To earn the title of CFA®, one must demonstrate expertise in financial research, portfolio management, investment consulting, risk analysis and risk management. After all of the exams, less than one in five candidates actually receive their CFA®, according to the CFA® Institute.
“We believe that having an individual as part of the McCarthy & Cox team with the CFA® charter holder designation helps ensure that clients have access to the best investment advice available and that their portfolios are well aligned with their financial goals. Wesley will be able to offer expert level portfolio management skills, which is extremely important in today’s fast changing market landscape,” Cox concluded.
