How to Create Stronger Passwords and Protect Your Online Accounts

From email accounts to bank accounts, online shopping to online stock trading, you have many passwords to create and remember. Life would be easier if they were all the same. Or if they all came to mind quickly - like your child’s name or birthday. But just as those are simple for you to remember, they’re fairly simple for a scammer to figure out and use to drain your savings or steal your identity. So, how can you create the strongest passwords that aren’t a pain to access when you need them? Let’s explore some tactics for password protection and other ways to safeguard your digital accounts here.

McCarthy & Cox Charity Golf Outing Smashes Records and Raises $29,185 for Local Causes!

The 12th annual McCarthy & Cox Charity Golf Outing was a phenomenal success, shattering previous records and raising an incredible $29,185 for two impactful charities! “We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the amazing turnout and the tremendous support from our community and corporate sponsors,” said Jim Cox, of McCarthy & Cox.

The McCarthy & Cox Cares Fund, established in 2013, has been a beacon of hope, assisting seniors, youth, and addressing urgent needs in Union County. To date, this fund has generously given back over $75,000 to our community. The Cares Board, composed of five dedicated McCarthy & Cox clients, independently reviews and manages grant requests from the community. Visit McCarthyandCoxCares.com for more information.

Additionally, the event supports the Elizavèta Fund, founded by Jim and Faye Cox in 2014 to help families with the often daunting financial burden of adoption. Inspired by their personal journey adopting their daughter, Caroline Elizavèta, from Russia in 2011, the Cox family established this fund to assist others in creating their own loving families. Since its inception, the Elizavèta Fund has provided nearly $80,000 in grants to support adoption efforts. To learn more, visit ElizavetaFund.org.

Both of these vital funds are managed by the Union County Foundation, and all donations are tax-deductible.
