Belma RandleEvergreen State Fair bids farewell to oldest worker
The Evergreen State Fair recently lost their oldest fair-time worker. Belma Randel, at 94 years young, lost her battle with cancer on April 8. Belma, a gate tender, was well known at "her" gate near the horse barns for many years. Always willing to work with something new, she enjoyed the move to the electronic age with the new ticket scanners. She had a playful spirit and was proud to say that she had worked at "The Fair" for years.
