Community Events & Upcoming Silent Auction
| | |
Sadly, the Memorial Day Picnic was canceled this year due to the weather. We want to thank our generous sponsors, who are essential to the success of community events as well as McCoy's year-round operations. We are grateful for their investment in McCoy. We are already planning our next events, TV Tables and McCoy's 10th Anniversary Celebration.
TV Tables, a ticketed luncheon featuring display tables of antique and vintage china themed on popular television shows of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, will be held on Thursday, September 25. McCoy's 10th Anniversary will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4, and Sunday, October 5. This two-day event will include a festival highlighting history, gardens, and nature on Saturday and a trivia dinner fundraiser on Sunday. Mark your calendars now for these not-to-be-missed events.
Sponsorships at McCoy are an effective and targeted way to advertise your business with McCoy's 1,200 newsletter recipients and over 4,000 social media followers, all while supporting a beloved community gem. Sponsorships for in-kind contributions to our 10th Anniversary Silent Auction are also available. If you are interested in becoming a McCoy sponsor, click below or email sponsorships@mccoywalden.org for more information.
| | Calling all kids and all kids at heart! Join kite expert Chuck Jones for a kite-building and kite-flying workshop at McCoy this summer. You'll build your own kite and then learn how to fly it afterward. The workshop is suitable for all ages, but younger children will need assistance from an adult. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $20 for each kite kit and $15 for each additional kite kit for participants in the same family. Workshops will be offered on Thursday, July 3, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, July 12, from 10:00 am to noon. Class size is limited, so buy your tickets early to secure your spot. | | |
