MESSAGE FROM THE ALUMNI BOARD
In a letter dated April 9, 2019, the McDonogh community was notified that the external investigation by T&M Protection Resources into reports of past sexual misconduct by former faculty members was complete. In light of the findings of the investigation, the Alumni Board voted at its May 14 meeting to rescind the Distinguished Service Award presented to Alvin J. Levy in 1964. RETIRING FACULTY AND STAFF

|
On Head of School Day, Friday, May 3, the entire school recognized retiring faculty and staff members who collectively have been a part of the McDonogh community for 113 years. They are Joann Ashburn, Efia Dalili, Connie McGrain, Owen Neighbours '63, Terri Neighbours, Kim Smith, and Jim Tsouvalos. Throughout their McDonogh careers, they have impacted countless students and employees in many meaningful ways, both large and small. If you would like to express your appreciation or wish them well in their retirement,
please share your sentiments
by Friday, June 7. The messages will be compiled and shared with each retiree.

SAVE THE DATE FOR EAGLEFEST - NOVEMBER 1

|
Mark your calendars now for EagleFest, a homecoming event for parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends of McDonogh. The first annual EagleFest will take place on Friday, November 1 from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., the eve of the annual McDonogh vs. Gilman football game. Invitations to the celebration, which includes dinner, drinks, and dancing, will be mailed in September.

CALL FOR ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS
The purpose of McDonogh's Athletic Hall of Fame is to pay tribute to individuals who have contributed to the life of McDonogh athletics by achieving outstanding athletic records and demonstrating the ideal values of a McDonogh athlete: dedication, perseverance, positive attitude, leadership, and teamwork. The Hall of Fame also recognizes McDonogh coaches or members of the athletic department who meet the same qualifications and whose work in athletics has made a positive impact on the life of McDonogh's student athletes.
Awards are given biennially during Reunion Weekend.
Nominations
are due by October 11, 2019.
