Lamb Will Uphold
Constitution
Holliston, MA ...Tonight, Marty
Lamb, Republican candidate for
Congress in Massachusetts Third District, was shocked at
Congressman James McGovern's words and his attitude toward the U.S.
Constitution.
During
the debate Congressman McGovern stated, "the Constitution is wrong," when
questioned about campaign finance. Congressman
McGovern does not seem to believe in the First Amendment-the
freedom of speech.
"I am
deeply troubled by the Congressman's statement. I
don't think that Jim McGovern is smarter than our
forefathers. I support the first
amendment. In fact, I support all the amendments,"
said Lamb. "The first action a Congressman takes is
an oath is to uphold the Constitution. This oath
should not be taken lightly."
Lamb
also criticized Congressman McGovern's desire for campaign finance
reform which includes public financing. "He wants to
take your tax dollars during a recession to buy lawn signs for
politicians. That's crazy" said Lamb.
"This is coming from an incumbent who took over $300,000 from
lawyers, lobbyists, and health and insurance pacs and
officials. Hypocrisy at its finest."

Lamb
also found Congressman McGovern's metamorphoses into the jobs
candidate humorous. "It is too bad his record does
not back up the rhetoric. He says he is for tax cuts,
but he has a rating of zero from Americans for Tax
Reform. He says he is pro-jobs, but he has a record
of voting 65% of the time against pro-economic policies according
the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Maybe if Congressman
McGovern had actually voted like his phony election year rhetoric,
there would not have been 2 major lay-offs in Worcester today,"
said Lamb.
Mr. Lamb graduated from the Benjamin N.
Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in 1985 and received
his Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College in 1982. He has an
extensive background in real estate law, formerly with Adelson,
Golden & Loria, P.C., Edward A. Sokoloff & Associates, and
Lamb & Shaffer, P.C. and is currently with Lamb and Browne,
P.C. He is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of
Massachusetts. An active participant in community affairs, Mr. Lamb
sits on the Board of Directors of New England Region of United
Synagogue and is a past president of Temple Beth Torah in
Holliston. He has also served on the Holliston Elementary School
Council and the Campaign for Holliston Schools. He resides in
Holliston with Peri, his wife of 20 years, and his two teenage,
daughters Elissa and Simma.
