McLaren Flint Celebrates Patient Safety Awareness Week, March 12-18

McLaren Flint's patient safety and clinical risk staff invite you to stop by their table outside the cafeteria on March 14 and 17 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to learn more about McLaren's commitment to patient safety and your essential role in making it happen. Team members will also round on all floors throughout the week, and you will learn a new patient safety fact during each morning's huddle.


This year's theme is: Together, we are BETTER, STRONGER, SAFER.

Apply Now For One of 30 Scholarships for the 2023/2024 Academic Year

The McLaren Flint Foundation is pleased to announce 30, $1,500 Rachor Education Foundation, Ltd. Scholarships are now available for the 2023/2024 academic year.

These scholarships will go to students currently enrolled in nursing, healthcare administration, and other health-related programs at either Mott Community College or UM-Flint.

Nominations for Daisy and Rose Awards

The Daisy and Rose awards are given out quarterly. Nomination forms for both awards are available on patient care units and on the McLaren Flint Intranet and website. Submissions should be sent to Jennifer Sear, MSN, RN, Director of Patient Experience, 1 North, or Jennifer.Sear@mclaren.org. Registered nurses can be nominated for the Daisy Award. Any non-RN staff member can be nominated for the Rose Award.

Living Well with Multiple Sclerosis-A Free Lunch and Learn Program

This educational opportunity will benefit those with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), those questioning whether they have MS, and caregivers. Join Suleiman Kojan, MD, FAAN, a board-certified neurologist who specializes in the treatment of MS, for this informational program.

Free Stroke Screenings For the Community

The Flint Stroke Coalition, led by McLaren Flint in partnership with all Genesee County hospitals and the Genesee County Free Medical Clinic are offering free stroke screenings to the community the fourth Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. Screenings take place at the Genesee County Free Medical Clinic.
