Fall 2022 Career Expo

Nearly 300 McNeese students attended the Fall 2022 Career Expo. More than 90 employers set up tables to discuss career opportunities with students. 

Chem Expo

McNeese students and professors participated in the LAIA Chem Expo. They helped seventh graders make a polymer out of white craft glue and a Borax solution and discussed polymers in everyday products.

Taylor DeWoody With McNeese Autism Program Appointed a Subject Matter Expert 

 

The Behavior Analyst Certification Board recently appointed Taylor DeWoody to a two-year term as a Subject Matter Expert. DeWoody is the lead behavior analyst for the McNeese Autism Program. 

McNeese Graduate Elected to National Council on Family Relations Board 

 

McNeese graduate Ava Simmons was recently elected to the National Council on Family Relations’ (NCFR) Affiliate Councils Board as the Student/New Professional Representative. Her term begins in November during the 2022 NCFR Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and she will serve for two years.

McNeese Fall Production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" Set

The McNeese W.A. and Dorothy Hanna Department of Performing Arts opens the 2022-2023 McNeese Theatre season with the fall production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19-22 and 2 p.m. Oct. 23 in Tritico Theatre. The play is a collaboration with Lake Charles Little Theatre.

Rowdy's Haunted Homecoming at McNeese

Lake Charles beware! Halloween ghouls and goblins will "haunt" the McNeese campus during homecoming week Oct. 23-29. This year's theme is "Rowdy's Haunted Homecoming" so students, alumni, Cowboy fans and the community should get ready for some scary fun.

Next Cowboy Block Party on Oct. 28

Celebrate homecoming at the next Cowboy Block Party on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. featuring Wayne Toups. Free block parties are held Friday nights at the Robert Noland Alumni Pavilion prior to home Cowboy football games.


Cowboy fans can come out for tailgating and football Saturday, Oct. 29, as the Cowboys take on the Southeast Louisiana University Lions at 7 p.m. in Cowboy Stadium.

Michael Corman Donates $15,000 to McNeese


Michael Corman, a McNeese graduate living in Austin, Texas, has donated $15,000 to the McNeese Foundation to establish the A.B. and Dale Harmon Corman Scholarship in Biology Education. Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology education in 1980 and his Master of Education degree in administration and supervision in 1982.
