Reminders and news from Archbishop McNicholas High School--July 19, 2017
Rockets serve at GA youth ministry camp

A big shout out to the Archbishop McNicholas students who served as leaders for the Guardian Angels youth ministry camp Camp GAudeo June 26-30. They led approximately 150 incoming 6th through 9th graders through a week of faith-building, fellowship, and fun. According to McNicholas English teacher and GA parishioner, Anne Jones, "It was a joy to see how caring, responsible, and faith-filled they were."
School News and Reminders

Parking lot resurfacing
Beginning, Monday, July 24, the entire western side of the campus will be closed to all traffic
while we resurface and restripe the upper faculty/staff lot, the main student parking lot, and the small lot on the driveway leading past the auxiliary gym to the kiln.  These restrictions will remain in effect for the entire week or until the work is completed and cured.  If you plan to visit campus during this time, please park in the Paradise Lot (and access the building via the trail) or in the lower parking lot.

Summer Reading Requirements
Students are required to read at least two books, one for English and one for social studies, over the summer.  Please click here for book requirements and assignments.

For students taking 9th grade American Government and Civics:  It has come to our attention that The Trees by Conrad Richter is no longer in print and has been costly to purchase and difficult to find in the library.  Because of this, students will be permitted to read either The Trees (if they can find it) OR the book for those not taking a social studies class, Between Shades of Gray by Ruth Sepetys. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions, please contact Social Studies Department Chair Pat Stricker at [email protected] or English Department Chair Angie Noble at [email protected]
