A Message from the Director

This month, we recall the reason for celebrating Women’s history Month is that women’s voices were so often left out of the histories that we heard or read. Our slate of programs this month and year-round focuses on showcasing women’s stories and experiences, while also giving us the opportunity to develop our own leadership.

Let's Talk Money: Taking the Lead on your Financial Wellness

On February 13th, the McNulty Institute hosted its second annual Let's Talk Money event, sponsored by the Eugenija Gecas Endowed Fund for Financial Wellness. We were able to hear from keynote speaker Mical Jeanlys-White '96, founder and CEO of Wealthmore, as well as conversation panelists Emily Wood '99, Shannon Kariuki '20, and Marissa Schrade '26.

Mical discussed the importance of women's education and action in the financial world. Topics covered learning to negotiate your salary as a young woman, the importance of wealth advisors, and taking the first step into learning. She left us with the key thoughts: building wealth is a lifestyle, building wealth is better together, get the wealth advice you deserve, and wealth is for all of us.

Thank you to everyone who attended this wonderful event!
