Learn about the 'State of Craft Beer'
Join us at 3 Sheep Brewing Co. for a free author talk with Matthew Janzen , who will discuss his book, "State of Craft Beer," which documents the community impact of Wisconsin's craft beer industry.

The talk is slated for 6-7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 4, at the 3 Sheeps Brewing Taproom, 1837 North Ave., Sheboygan.

Music, theater coming to Sundown Storytime
Étude High School  students will lead a pair of music and theater-based Sundown Storytimes in December.

On Dec. 7, Etude students will bring popular children's books to life during Storytime Theater. Stories include “Caps for Sale,” “Shark Dog” and “I Need My Monster.” 

And then on Dec. 14, Étude  students will host a special Jam Session featuring an exploration of rhythm from their first trimester ensemble class. Borrow a pair of rhythm sticks, a shaker egg, a tambourine or craft your own drum to participate in this call-and-response program focused on percussive beats.

Both events begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Story Garden. Open to all ages.

Library Services Update
New flooring coming to Children's Library
We'll begin installing new carpeting in the third-floor Children's Library in December. Please pardon the disruptions to our book displays and collections.

The project marks the first phase in a multi-year effort to replace the carpeting throughout the library.

Baby & Me Storytime, babies ages 6-23 months can bring their favorite adult to this interactive 20-minute early childhood literacy class, featuring simple books, lap bounces, songs, rhymes and fingerplays. Saturated World, the explosion in technology-based gaming, social networking, instant communication and entertainment media has become a potent and ubiquitous force in child development. Join Pewaukee-based psychotherapist, trainer, author and award-winning Journal Sentinel columnist Philip Chard in exploring the perils and promises posed by technology.
