Dear Self-Directing Participants,

We are reaching out to remind participants who self-direct their services and their staff of limits on some Meaningful Day services based on the Developmental Disabilities Administration’s waivers.

A participant may not receive more than 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week of Community Development Services (CDS), Job Development, and/or Day Habilitation Services. This limit applies to each of these services individually, as well as any combination of these services.

As your FMCS, The Arc Central Chesapeake Region is not authorized to pay for staff shifts or vendor invoices for CDS, Job Development, or Day Habilitation that exceed these limits. Shifts submitted that exceed these limits will be adjusted down to the limit. Invoices that exceed the limit will not be paid, and the sender will be notified. Please make sure to carefully review shifts and invoices prior to submission to avoid a delay in payment.
