Incredible Wildlife Spotted at RLA
|
Did you see Head Gardener, Jesse Herrera's amazing video of a red-tailed hawk taking a bath in the Native Garden on RLA's Facebook?
Livestock Assistant & Custodian, Sharon Conner, took this photo of a great horned owl atop the bamboo in the Old Garden last week. In addition to being a place steeped in history, the Rancho provides rich habitat for urban wildlife like these!

Volunteers are so important to us, and essential to the Rancho remaining open to the public whenever possible. Please email Ambyr, Katie, or Info to share your ideas and suggestions.
- Considering our COVID-19 adaptations, are you interested and able to continue volunteering in rain, wind, heat, or cold weather?
- How might you adapt our outdoor tours in case of poor weather?
- Are you interested in volunteering during adapted holiday events? Please indicate your interest in working during an evening holiday event (12/2 - 12/4), and/or a children's craft event (12/12).
We have created TENTATIVE shift openings for the above mentioned holiday programs, in order to gauge Volunteer interest and availability. Please feel free to self-schedule in VICnet or email ambyr@rancholosalamitos.org to sign up for a possible holiday shift. Please remember, things may change at any time. Thank you.

|
If you need to cancel your scheduled volunteer shift, please contact us ASAP so we can find a replacement. The best way to let us know is to email Ambyr and Duane, or call the office.
Please remember that Ambyr works part-time, which means it may take a couple of days to respond
to your emails and phone calls. If you have an urgent matter and do not hear back from Ambyr,
contact the office, Duane, or Katie.
Thank you for your understanding and patience. You are our most valuable resource!
