NEW MECHATRONICS ATEX FAN SOLUTIONS

Mechatronics offers a variety of fans for use in potentially hazardous applications and environments. ATEX Fans are intended for use in equipment or protective systems where potentially explosive atmospheres can occur (as defined by EU directive 2014/34/EU). Mechatronics ATEX Fans are EC Fans (electronically commutated AC fans) made with encapsulated motors rated to IP68. ATEX Rating levels for Mechatronics fans are listed in the table below. Only fans with the ATEX symbol and rating on the label are intended for ATEX applications.

Electronically Commutated – UL Recognized

Mechatronics Low Power Fans are ideal for applications where only AC power input is available and low power consumption is a requirement. Mechatronics Low Power fans are electronically commutated providing the efficiency of a DC fan with the simplicity of connecting to an AC power supply. Available with global voltage input accommodating 100VAC to 240VAC, allowing for a single model to be used in products for both 115VAC and 230VAC applications. Mechatronics Low Power Electronically Commutated (EC) fans are available in sizes ranging from 60mm-250mm.

Reduced Power Consumption as much as 70% lower than that of standard AC fan models
Global Voltage option allows fan to operate from 100VAC ~ 240VAC
Improved Performance offers higher airflow than standard AC fan models
Speed Control options include pulse width modulation (PWM speed control) input
Alarm Output options including tachometer or locked rotor alarm
Environmental Protection options available including conformal coating or encapsulated motor (up to IP68)
