MedChi is gathering insights on how various policies and regulations around vaccine administration impact Maryland physicians’ ability to provide effective care for our local community. We need your input — please take 5 minutes to complete our short survey and share your experience with shared clinical decision-making (SCDM) recommendations and their impact on vaccine uptake. Click Here to Take Our Survey.
SCDM is a vaccine recommendation approach used by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Unlike routine vaccine recommendations, which apply to all individuals in a specific age group, SCDM leaves vaccine decisions to a conversation between the physician and the patient. This often leads to gaps in vaccine education, leaving patients uncertain about how or when to discuss vaccination during a wellness visit, leading to lower vaccination rates.
Your experiences matter! Help us understand how SCDM recommendations affect you and your patients by completing our 5-minute survey. Take Our Survey Today!
