Delegate Terri Hill: Chair of the Public Health and Minority Health Disparities Subcommittee

STATEMENT ON NEW HOUSE ASSIGNMENT

Delegate Terri Hill, M.D.

I am honored that Speaker Peña-Melnyk has chosen me to serve as Chair of the Public Health and Minority Health Disparities Subcommittee.

As a practicing physician for over 34 years and a member of the subcommittee since 2019, I understand the importance and challenges of the work, particularly in a time when the public’s health is disregarded, not worthy of concern and when acknowledging (let alone working to address) these disparities is fraught.

Given that this is the subcommittee the Speaker diligently and impactfully chaired for years, I am humbled by her confidence in me and committed to making both her and Maryland proud.

Terri Hill, M.D.
