George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences Department of Pathology Congratulates Alumnus, Dr. Eric Wargotz.


The Department of Pathology highlighted Dr. Wargotz's installation as MedChi's 178th president. Dr. Wargotz completed his residency training in their program, where he also served as Chief Resident. He is also a member of the GWU School of Medicine & Health Sciences faculty as a Clinical Professor Emeritus. Read the complete article here.

Maryland Introduces New Program Providing Free Vaccinations


Governor Wes Moore announced a new program that provides free vaccines to uninsured and underinsured Maryland adults, aiming to reduce vaccine-preventable diseases and improve public health. To receive vaccines through the Maryland Vaccine Program, eligible Marylanders can contact their local health department to check availability, or visit the health.maryland.gov for additional information. Currently, vaccines are accessible through the local health departments in four counties: Baltimore, Garrett, Montgomery, and Somerset. Availability will expand to other counties over the following weeks.
