Boise, May 2, 2022 – Downtown Boise.

Downtown Boise Association (DBA), a non-profit 501(c)6 Corporation that’s authorized by the City of Boise to manage the Downtown Boise Business Improvement District (BID), today announced a major rebranding to reflect the association’s next steps to promote a vibrant downtown.

Over a three-month period, the Downtown Boise team worked closely with Downtown Boise full-service advertising agency 116 & West on the brand restructure. Rebranding includes a top-to-bottom redesign of the company’s logo, graphics, communications, and marketing correspondence. Downtown Boise’s new brand assets include attractive variations of logos, along with website updates and other visual communications that utilize simple, bold graphics to convey an inclusive, safe, and fun downtown in an understandable way.

"I can easily speak for the whole team at 116 & West when I say developing the Downtown Boise brand was truly an honor. The new brand proudly celebrates the unique vibrancy and inclusiveness that makes Downtown Boise so special." – Kelly Knopp, Creative Director, 116 & West

Downtown Boise Association and Downtown Boise Foundation, officially functioning separately in whole, will now outwardly presenting fall under the umbrella brand simply now known as “Downtown Boise.” This means a cohesive and recognizable branding image for all Downtown Boise events and activities from our signature events to marketing materials to social media to membership documents and more.

“As DBA Board President, I truly enjoy spending time in Downtown Boise. Visiting shops, dining, and meeting new people. I am also excited about the rebranding of the DBA. It was time for us to refresh the look and feel of DBA’s communiques. Bold, yet fun images and words to better identify our events to the folks who live, work, and play in Downtown Boise.” Wes Jost, Board President, Downtown Boise Association and Board Vice President, Downtown Boise Foundation.

In its 35th year, DBA is excited to refresh and refocus our branding to be more directed to the user experience.” Jenn Hensley, Executive Director, Downtown Boise Association & Downtown Boise Foundation shared. “This new branding gives our community the opportunity to easily identify our free, high-quality events and activities that happen downtown through a brand that feels more welcoming to all. DBA membership, all of downtown’s 700+ businesses and business owners, have a sense of pride in our place – now they’ve got a cohesive brand to utilize to continue to drive people to our beloved city center.”
