WHAT: Milwaukee Recreation will partner with Enterprise Mobility Foundation and the Arbor Day Foundation to distribute and plant new trees at Cooper Playfield. Cooper Playfield is located on Milwaukee’s south side and suffered significant loss of tree canopy due to an emerald ash borer infestation.
“We are grateful for the support from Enterprise Mobility Foundation and the Arbor Day Foundation in providing us with the resources to plant trees at Cooper Playfield,” said Lynn Greb - Senior Director, Milwaukee Recreation. “The trees will enhance the playfield and provide much needed shade to the area.”
The event will take place on Friday, October 11.
WHERE: Cooper Playfield, 2236 W. Abbott St.
WHEN: Friday, October 11, 2024 from 8:00am - 12:00pm.
PHOTO/INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITY: There will be an opportunity for photos and videos of the event on Friday, October 11. Additionally, event organizers will be present for any interviews or questions.
