The new 68,000 square foot, two story, Whittier Elementary School features 25 Kindergarten through 6th Grade classrooms, (2) resource classrooms, pre-school classroom, music room, library, cafeteria and gymnasium.
The building’s exterior is masonry construction with low slope membrane roofing to complement the old Whittier Elementary building, a portion of which will be retained and remodeled for a new Community Center. The new Whittier Elementary School site has been improved with separate drop-off areas, playfields, student areas and extensive landscaping has been designed to create exterior learning spaces.
Following the official ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the new school will be provided.
