The third season of Supersized First Thursday Kicks Off Next Week in Downtown Boise – in the midst of the 30th year of First Thursday!
Boise, March 28, 2023 – Downtown Boise.

Supersized First Thursday kicks off next week in Downtown Boise. April’s Supersized First Thursday includes roving performances by Flow Dojo, a team of fire performers. Additionally, live music by Swingin' With Ellie Shaw and Fiddle Express - Beck Family Band will be performed throughout various locations in Downtown Boise.

The third year of Supersized First Thursday's will be held for six months - during April, May, June, August, September, and October 2023.

First Thursday is celebrating its 30th season in 2023 and continues to entice the community with a night to experience one-of-a-kind art, shopping, dining, and entertainment in Downtown Boise. The 30th year, 2023, is generously sponsored by Umpqua Bank (formally known as Columbia Bank). Beginning in April, and thanks to support from Boise City Department of Arts & History, First Thursday will be “Supersized” for six months of the year and will include additional roving performances, music, and activation throughout all of downtown. Downtown Boise Association (DBA) will partner with performing artists and nonprofit organizations to create an enhanced experience for community members visiting downtown between 5pm – 9pm on the first Thursday of April, May, June, August, September, and October 2023.

Anyone interested in performing at a future Supersized First Thursday can find the artist call here.

“First Thursday is something that everyone in the Treasure Valley needs to experience at least once. Not only are you able to see all that Boise businesses have to offer downtown with various events and deals, but you get to experience the amazing sense of community that Boise has. The DBA is pivotal in making this event as special as it is by also providing entertainment and street performances all over the city. I know for those of us at Umpqua Bank, it has become a tradition that we love participating and contributing to every month.” – Kendall Shelton, VP & NeighborHub Manager, Umpqua Bank
