Eliot previously worked for the
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
where he oversaw many of the federal government's work with states on Medicaid waivers.
During this meeting, Eliot will briefly present on the waivers that SB96 instructs Utah's Department of Health to request from the Trump administration, including
per capita caps, enrollment caps, 90/10 funding match rate, and work reporting requirements
. He will also be available for questions.
Following this meeting, Eliot will lead a "Per Capita Cap Boot Camp" with healthcare advocate groups. This meeting will run from 12-2pm and will be open to the press from 1:30-2pm. NBC will also be there filming the last portion of this meeting for a pilot episode that features Utah's recent healthcare policy changes and space may be limited.
