Media Advisory- Peoria Park District Plants 100th Tree of 2023
PEORIA (November 16, 2023) – Peoria Park District is planting its 100th tree of the year, today, November 16th at 2pm in Bradley Park.

Each year the District plants dozens of trees according to our diversification and landscape design strategic plan that span across our 9,000 acres.

"As guardians of a quality environment, the Peoria Park District promotes and practices the conservation, preservation, and restoration of our unique natural heritage, which can be found within our Commitment to Environmental Sustainability," stated Executive Director Emily Cahill. "We are really proud to be leaders in our field when it comes to environmental sustainability and part of that comes with a robust strategic plan for tree diversification across the District."

The tree planting will take place outside of Cornstock Theater in Bradley Park. No formal press event will take place but the media is invited to come take photo and video. A representative for the District will be available at the time for comment.
