The Slidell and Covington Fire Departments will host ribbon cutting ceremonies for the new Safe Haven Baby Boxes installed earlier this year. Safe Haven Baby Boxes are temperature-controlled, secure devices often installed on the outside of a hospital or fire station. This allows parents in Louisiana to anonymously and legally surrender their newborn baby.
